The magic is one aspect of Potter’s universe that we hope might be true! With all that power and the capacity to utilize “Accio” without ever manually reaching out for an object, the spells would undoubtedly make our lives much more accessible.

The three “Unforgivable Curses,” which are the worst of all, are well-known among movie and book enthusiasts, but there are other spells that are just as lethal! Here are a few examples.

1. Obliviate

Several characters have used this charm. Because it alters the person’s memory, this is one of the more harmful spells to perform. And we saw it backfire in the second novel (and film adaptation) when Gilderoy Lockhart attempted to erase Harry and Ron’s memory.

However, Ron’s wand was damaged, and he ended up wiping out his memories, which was fortunate for our heroes. And readers of the books are aware that he was sent to St. Mungo’s to heal. That demonstrated that this spell could also be hazardous.

2. Fiendfyre

Fiendfyre is one of the few things and spells that can destroy a Horcrux, just in case you forgot. It’s a cursed fire that consumes anything it comes into connection.

Crabbe cast this spell in Room of Requirement and died due to it in the books. However, Goyle is the one who throws it and dies in the film.

3. Sectumsempra

Casting this lethal curse on Draco was one of Harry’s most blundersome acts. The Half-Blood Prince edited the Potions book, and he learns this spell from it. Harry had no idea what would happen if he cast this spell in the middle of a fight with Draco.

The spell sliced his body open even further, resulting in a lot of blood on the floor. Draco could have perished on the spot if Snape hadn’t arrived to investigate.

4. Confringo

Conferring is a hazardous spell that falls under the category of evil magic. In Deathly Hallows, Harry and Hermione both utilize the period. Harry cast the spell while flying in Hagrid’s motorcycle, and Death Eaters ambushed the two.

He could extricate himself after the spell separated his sidecar from Hagrid. On the other hand, Hermione utilized it in Godric’s Hollow when she and Harry needed to escape out of Bathilda Bagshot’s house.

5. Expulso

That is a relatively self-explanatory spell! It’s an explosive curse that will shatter everything. It also causes people to collide with walls.

We have not seen it much in the series, but in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, a Death Eater uses it on the table where the golden trio was sitting during the wedding.

6.  Full Body-Bind

When we witnessed Hermione Granger master a dark spell (the full body-bind) in her first year, we knew she was one of the brightest witches! The attack effectively paralyzes the victim. They are unable to move and have their limbs and legs intertwined.

We pity Neville Longbottom, who was forced to bear the brunt of the spell. He’d put on a brave face to keep his peers from wandering around in the dark, causing the House to lose additional points. It appeared to be amusing on TV, but we’re sure it scarred him for a long time (even though she did apologize).

7. Legilimens

This spell is used to peer into another person’s head and learn about their memories and feelings. Legiliments can even imprint their memories in the minds of others if they are proficient enough.

Apart from Snape and Harry, we didn’t observe anyone else utilizing this spell. In The Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore used it on Kreacher.
