Fans of Harry Potter have discovered a hidden link to the crew in Hogwart’s painting.

Fans of Harry Potter have discovered a hidden link to a crew member in Prisoner of Azkaban, and it’s fantastic!

One Harry Potter fan explained on Reddit that a picture featured in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a portrait of the film’s director.

We’ve never given the artwork much thought despite seeing the movie several times, but it’s a great tribute!

The fan claimed that the mother and the infant in the painting are tied to the film’s director, Alfonso Cuarón, by sharing an image.

“The mother and infant in the painting on the left in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) are the wife and daughter of director Alfonso Cuarón,” they said.

Between 2001 and 2008, Alfonso Cuarón was married to Annalisa Bugliani, and the Prisoner of Azkaban was released in 2004.

According to a Harry Potter fan group, the baby in the portrait is Tess Bu Cuarón, the couple’s first child born in 2003.
The following is taken from the fan page: “In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban the portrait of the mother and infant was a cameo appearance. Annalisa Bugliani played the mother and Tess Bu Cuarón played infant. At the film’s premiere, Annalisa Bugliani was married to filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, and Tess was their daughter.”

Fans of Harry Potter Are Just realized what Voldemort’s name means.

Fans of Harry Potter are only now realizing what Lord Voldemort’s name means and it’s fitting.

Voldemort (vol-de-mort) does translate to a scary ‘flight of death’ in French. Given Voldy’s ability to fly and his propensity for murdering witches and wizards, this is a pretty accurate portrayal.

One Redditor pointed out that the vol de death can also be translated differently.

“Yes, JK Rowling contributed a lot of linguistic turns of phrase to the books,” they wrote. It’s fascinating to watch how she accomplished this in various ways.

“I believe Voldemort has [another] translation: escape from death.” The pronoun “de” can signify either of or from in French, depending on the context. So, while Voldemort was a powerful and lethal wizard, his primary ambition was to become powerful enough to avoid death, which he considered the ultimate weakness.”

This has completely blown our brains.

This comes after a Potterhead revealed that most fans had mispronounced Voldemort’s name for quite some time.

Fans were shocked to learn that they had been saying it incorrectly for so long after it was pointed out on the official Harry Potter subreddit.

“What?” one Redditor exclaimed.

Another wrote, “So my whole life was a lie.”

On Twitter, J.K Rowling herself backed up the assertion. Another Harry Potter fan submitted the same fact in 2015, and the author responded, “…but I’m quite sure I’m the only person who pronounces it that way.”

On the other hand, French Potterheads had the upper hand once more, pointing out that they’d been pronouncing his name correctly the entire time.

Fans of Harry Potter are now realizing on to what Aunt Petunia was doing in kitchen scene.

The wonderful thing about the Harry Potter films is that there is always something new to uncover, no matter how many times you watch them.

One such easter egg from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’s opening scene is a subtle background feature that most fans have missed after watching the film numerous times.

When Harry first receives his letter from Hogwarts, you’ll notice the hidden information.
One Potterhead who spotted the hidden element took to Reddit to share it with the rest of the world.

They stated: “Aunt Petunia is present in the backdrop of this moment in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s (Sorcerer’s) Stone, dyeing Dudley’s old garments grey for Harry’s outfit. That is just mentioned in passing in the book.”

Petunia may be seen in the background mixing a pile of garments around in a vast pot while Mr. Dursley skims through his mail and Harry admires the Hogwarts letter with his name on it.

The Dursleys had intended to send Harry to Stonewall High instead of Dudley’s famous Smeltings Academy in the first novel.

Aunt Petunia had dyed some of Dudley’s old clothes grey for Harry to wear as his school uniform.

Thankfully, Harry’s letter from Hogwarts arrived just in time, sparing him from having to wear an “elephant skin” uniform.

When the easter egg was pointed up to Harry Potter enthusiasts, they were taken aback and left wondering how they had missed it previously.

One person said: “I’ve seen this movie so many times, and I’ve read the book once and thoroughly enjoyed it, yet I’ve never noticed this. That’s a fantastic idea!! I only wish they had kept Peeves in the movie!””

Remember when movies were as faithful to the literature as they are now? Those were the good days “Another was written.

“I always wondered what she was doing,” a third commented, “but I’d forgotten that information between reading the book and viewing the film.”

Others pointed out that Aunt Petunia’s job is addressed in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone deleted sequences, which can be found in the film’s extended edition.

Aunt Petunias appears in several deleted scenes in the Harry Potter films, which isn’t the only one.

Another cut scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One was recently uncovered by several Potterheads, this time from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One, in which Harry and his Aunt Petunia have a particularly emotional moment.

This sequence was omitted from the final version of the films, but it’s a whole new inclusion because we don’t see Harry and his aunt interact in the novels.

Fans of Harry Potter are realizing why some images in The Daily Prophet aren’t moving.

Except for one, these photos in The Daily Prophet newspaper move in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, the franchise’s penultimate film.

The Muggle family’s photo isn’t animated like the others, and fans have only recently found why.
On Reddit, a person shared their finding, writing: “The photo of the muggle family in the newspaper in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (2010) isn’t moving like the rest of the photos in the paper. This is because the picture was taken using a muggle camera.”

Non-magic individuals are referred to as Muggles, and they are incapable of performing magic, as Potterheads will recall.

On the other hand, Squibs are incapable of practicing magic but have at least one magical parent.

The theory, however, did not convince all enthusiasts. One user suggested that the developing solution potion from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets may be used to make Muggle images move. Colin Creevey discovered this in his first year at Hogwarts, much to his delight and ours.

Another user proposed the following hypothesis: “The photograph in the magazine has already been developed. It wasn’t a film photograph the newspaper had; it was a processed photograph.”
“Why would they try to get a photo by developing a roll of film instead of a picture that was already printed?” one Redditor wondered.

One Harry Potter fan explained on Reddit that a picture featured in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a portrait of the film’s director.

For the past 25 years, Harry Potter fans have been mispronouncing Voldemort’s name.

Fans of Harry Potter are only now discovering that they’ve been mispronouncing Voldemort’s name for the past 25 years, and we’re starting to doubt everything.

Of course, the wizarding world will do all possible to avoid speaking his name, but when He Who Shall Not Be Named is mentioned, it is completely misunderstood. Voldy, I apologize! The movies are to blame!
People were shocked to learn that they had been saying it incorrectly for so long after another fan pointed out the official Harry Potter subreddit error.

Given that the name Voldemort is French, multilingual Potter fans had an advantage with this one.

One user replied, “Yup, this T is silent in French.”

A second added, “French here, always knew it.”

Some Redditors recalled Jim Dale pronouncing Voldemort without the ‘T’ in his reading of the Harry Potter audiobooks. Jim began adding the ‘T’ midway through the audiobook series, right around the time the film adaptations began.

“I’m wondering if it was mispronounced in the movies. Jim Dale pronounces it without the t in the first four audiobooks; then, around book five, he flips, “read one of the comments.

Another user recalls a pronunciation instruction for trickier words like Hermione and knut from an old scholastic Harry Potter page. To their recollection, the fan said that “the ‘T’ was indeed silent” for Voldemort.

After learning the new bit of Potter trivia, one fan remarked: “Voldemort is to blame for the mispronunciation. You can’t declare a term taboo and make everyone afraid to use it, then be upset when brave muggles mispronounce your name.” It wasn’t our fault!
