Nobody will ever cheer people on like their parents. It doesn’t matter if someone is struggling to get by or rising to superstardom; a good parent will always be right behind their child, rooting for them every step of the way. After all, a parent’s job is to go to ball games, recitals, and other such events, even if they don’t really want to. Supporting their kids in whatever they choose to do is just the name of the game.
If that’s the case, then it’s possible that “Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco has a game-winning father. Already established thanks to her role in “8 Simple Rules,” Cuoco gained even more fame for portraying Penny, the leading female companion in “TBBT,” which ran for 12 seasons and 279 episodes (via The Hollywood Reporter). However, her first real fan might just be her own dad. Why? Because he was the only fan that came to literally every taping of “The Big Bang Theory.”
Cuoco’s dad might goes to coocoo lengths as a father
Kaley Cuoco first revealed this fact herself through her personal Instagram account in June 2019. In celebration of Father’s Day, Cuoco posted an image of her and her dad walking toward the altar at her wedding to professional equestrian Karl Cook. Along with it came the caption, “Happy Father’s Day to the best there is! @glzdovr this guy never missed a single taping of BBT and still comes to cheer me on at horse shows whenever he can. One of a kind!”
There’s no doubt that Cuoco’s post is a heartwarming tribute to an important part of her life. However, the silent appreciation of her father might just be equally heartwarming. Without any sort of recognition from anyone but his daughter, Gary Cuoco attended all 279 tapings of “The Big Bang Theory” in succession. That’s over 139 hours of parental support. On top of that, he still managed to find time to attend his daughter’s equestrian events. If that’s not worthy of a “Father of the year” award, then perhaps nothing is.
