If there’s one thing to know about Selena Gomez, she definitely knows how to keep a friendship going. From sharing close ties with her bestie Taylor Swift to her never-ending bond with the likes of Olivia Wilde, Niall Horan, Julia Michaels, and Vanessa Hudgens, the Disney alum has known most of her closest friends for years.

And her friendship with Jennifer Aniston is no different, it seems. While it’s unclear on how long they’ve been pals, the former Friends star spoke highly about Gomez in a 2014 interview, which would lead one to believe they’ve been friendly with each other for at least seven years.

While Gomez tends to spend more time with her “regular” friends, over the years, the Come & Get It hitmaker has formed a bond with Aniston like no other. According to Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, the two first met at a Vanity Fair party, and while she didn’t mention the year or date, Gomez noted that she was practically a nobody at the event since no celeb at the occurrence had any idea who she was.

In February 2016, Gomez had used her social media platform again to wish Aniston a happy birthday, writing, “A little tb and a happy birthday to one of the kindest people I know AND someone who has inspired me for years!”

“Just discussing #TheBigShort,” Gomez had captioned the photo, which had now been used to stir a rumour that there was something going on between her and Pitt — but that clearly wasn’t the case. From what we know, Gomez is still good pals with Aniston otherwise she wouldn’t have partaken to be interviewed by the Horrible Bosses actress when she hosted Ellen Degeneres’ talk show back in January 2020. One thing about Gomez is that she appreciates genuine people in her life, which would explain how she’s managed to sustain a 13-year friendship with Swift. Considering how long they’ve known each other, they may as well be considered sisters at this point.
