Cristiano Ronaldo was seen on Wednesday celebrating Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day with the rest of the Al Nassr team. He was wearing traditional clothing from the country. In pictures that the Saudi Pro League club shared, you could see a happy Ronaldo celebrating the fact that Imam Mohammed bin Saud founded the kingdom in February 1727.
Saudi Arabia just started having Founding Day. This is the second time that Founding Day has been held in Saudi Arabia, after King Salman bin Abdulaziz announced in January last year that the anniversary would be celebrated every 22 February.
The Saudi Pro League is led by Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. Al Nassr are currently in pole position to win their 10th Saudi league title. Rudi Garca’s team is on top of the table with 40 points and a better goal difference than Al Ittihad and Al Shabab.
The daglah is the national dress of Saudi Arabia, and men all over the country wear it. However, Ronaldo’s striking design makes him stand out. During the day, he wore a traditional white thobe.
He waved a traditional sword with a curved blade through the air as the star’s friends encouraged him to join in the dancing and fun.
It appeared as though Ronaldo was having a good time away from the practice field, and a flag of Saudi Arabia could be seen draped over his shoulders as the event got underway.
